What happened. Across the first five rounds of Serie A, only 28.2 per cent of playing time went to Italian players. Of the 454 players used in 50 matches, 71.9 per cent were foreign, up from last season's 69.1 per cent average.
- Venezia are the worst offenders, with 99.6 per cent of players used being foreign.
- Como, Milan and Juventus are among the clubs most reliant on non-Italian talent.
- Inter and Roma lead the top clubs with roughly 29 per cent Italian players.
The trend comes amid Italy's 2-0 Nations League defeat to Belgium and growing calls for FIGC reform.
