Coventry seal record deal for Ghana's Yirenkyi

Coventry City have smashed their transfer record to land Ghana midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi from Nordsjaelland.

What happened. Coventry City have completed the club-record signing of Ghana midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi from Danish side Nordsjaelland for a reported fee of 27m euros (£23.1m) plus add-ons.

• The 20-year-old has signed a long-term contract with the Sky Blues.
• Yirenkyi made his international debut in May 2025 and played at the World Cup.
• He is Coventry's fifth summer signing after promotion to the Premier League.
