What happened. US Soccer announced on Monday that Mauricio Pochettino has agreed to a contract extension keeping him as head coach through the 2030 World Cup.

Talks had been ongoing for months before the World Cup exit.
Pochettino led the US to the last 16 at the 2026 World Cup.
He is expected to receive a raise on his previous $6m annual salary.

Pochettino will lead the US through the next World Cup cycle, with the 2030 tournament approaching.
