United are set to raid their neighbours for two 16-year-old midfielders.

What happened. Manchester United are close to signing teenage midfielders David Eze and Karim Cassim from Manchester City as part of their youth investment drive.

• Eze, 16, has captained England Under-16s and is also eligible for Republic of Ireland.
• Cassim featured for City's Under-18s in their FA Youth Cup win last season.
• Both players would join United's age-group teams at Carrington.

United hope to complete both deals soon, continuing Ratcliffe's strategy to sign top young talents early.
