What happened. Napoli confirmed Alessandro Buongiorno underwent successful knee surgery and will be out for at least three months. Lorenzo Lucca also suffered an ankle ligament sprain.

• Surgery repaired root of medial meniscus in right knee.
• Lucca diagnosed with low-grade ankle ligament strain.
• Lucca expected out for a couple of weeks.

Buongiorno will begin rehabilitation after immobilization period.
