What happened. Roma signed Porto playmaker Mora for €25m (£21.4m) plus a 50% sell-on fee, well below his €70m (£59.5m) release clause. Mora has already scored his first goal for the club against Lecce.
- Mora was eager to play under Gian Piero Gasperini, who he said played a big part in his decision.
- The teenager had been on Europe's elite radar since starring for Porto's B-team at 15.
- Porto had braced for his €70m release clause to be met in summer 2025, but it wasn't.
“He played a big part in my decision to come here because he likes players with my qualities”
— Mora
Mora will look to build on his early impact as Roma aim for a strong Serie A campaign.
