What happened. Maurice Krattenmacher is one of three nominees for the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award for September 2026, alongside Werder Bremen's Chuki and Paderborn's Santiago Castaneda. The Elversberg 21-year-old scored three goals in September, including a spectacular strike against Bayern Munich.

• He scored twice off the bench in a 4-3 win at Borussia Mönchengladbach and was named Man of the Match.
• His three September goals were bettered only by Phillip Tietz's four.
• He averaged a goal every 38 minutes and had more shots than any team-mate.
