What happened. Sandro Wagner has been appointed head coach of Hannover, replacing Christian Titz after the club's slow start to the 2026/27 Bundesliga 2 season. Hannover have won just one of their opening five matches.
- Wagner, 38, last managed Augsburg, overseeing 14 games with four wins, one draw and nine defeats.
- He previously coached Unterhaching and worked with Germany's U20s and senior national team staff.
- As a striker he played for Bayern Munich, Werder Bremen, Hoffenheim and Germany, retiring in 2020.
