What happened. Juventus were without nine first-team players for their 3-2 Serie A defeat at Sassuolo. Long-term injuries to Locatelli, Thuram and Yildiz have left coach Luciano Spalletti considering changes to his UEFA squad list.
- UEFA rules allow temporary replacements for players injured at least 60 days until matchday six.
- Locatelli is the only long-term absentee who could realistically be replaced.
- Thuram is expected to be out until 2027 and was not registered in the UEFA squad.
Juventus must decide whether to use the temporary replacement rule before the January registration window.
