Doekhi out for Lazio vs Milan after hand surgery

Lazio's summer signing had surgery on a fractured hand and misses the Milan clash at the Olimpico.

What happened. Danilho Doekhi had surgery in Rome yesterday, with a metal plate and screws used to treat a fracture of the metacarpal in his left hand. The defender, who had been expected to start, is ruled out of Lazio's Serie A meeting with Milan this evening.

• He is likely to need only a short spell out, then can play with a protective cast.
• Lazio are also without Nicolò Rovella, Adam Marusic, Patric and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.
• Danilo Cataldi returns ahead of schedule and Andrea Pinamonti has shaken off an ankle knock.

Lazio, unbeaten in the league so far, host Milan at the Stadio Olimpico before Doekhi's expected quick return.
