What happened. Scott Davidson, a Miami-based American businessman, has been cleared by the EFL and the Independent Football Regulator to proceed with a takeover of League Two club Shrewsbury Town. Former USA goalkeeper Brad Friedel is part of the American group and will join the Shrewsbury board.
