Napoli confirm Meret and Alisson injuries after Arsenal loss

What happened. Napoli confirmed Alex Meret suffered a low-grade adductor injury to his left thigh and Alisson Santos a medium-grade hamstring injury during Wednesday's 1-0 Champions League loss to Arsenal. Exact recovery times have not been set.

• Martin Odegaard's 75th-minute strike settled the game at the Stadio Maradona.
• Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa returned to first-team training on Thursday and could face Bologna.
• Scott McTominay, Alessandro Buongiorno, Luca Marianucci and Giovane are also out.

Napoli hope their injury list clears by the end of the September-October international break, with Bologna up next in Serie A.
