What happened. Since replacing Damien Comolli as Juventus chief executive, Giovanni Carnevali has stabilised the club's finances while overhauling Luciano Spalletti's squad within UEFA's Settlement Agreement limits. Exits including Dušan Vlahović, Jonathan David and Loïs Openda funded arrivals such as Randal Kolo Muani, Guglielmo Vicario and Jhon Lucumí, but total wage and amortisation costs still rose 18.92%.
- Professor Fabrizio Bava warns break-even by 2028 is becoming less likely
- Kolo Muani's financial footprint offset much of the Vlahović savings
- Carnevali will need at least one major sale before June 30 2027
“The likelihood of achieving break-even by 2028 is dropping.”
— Fabrizio Bava
Juventus must raise revenues or sell valuable assets to hit break-even and avoid a possible capital increase.
