Kerolin Nicoli joins Barcelona in record WSL transfer

Barcelona break their transfer record to land the WSL's most expensive export ever.

What happened. Barcelona have signed Brazilian forward Kerolin Nicoli from Manchester City for a reported £1.25m, the highest fee ever received for a Women's Super League player.

• Kerolin made 26 league appearances and scored 12 goals for City.
• The fee breaks the record set by Olivia Smith's move last summer.
• Barcelona had never previously paid more than £500k for a player.

Kerolin joins a reshaped Barcelona squad after several stars departed this summer.
