What happened. Saudi Pro League side Al-Shabab have confirmed the signing of Ghana international Thomas Partey, who became a free agent after Villarreal opted not to extend his contract.

• Partey made 167 appearances for Arsenal between 2020 and 2025.
• He is scheduled to stand trial next year over rape and sexual assault charges.
• Al-Shabab finished 13th in the Saudi Pro League last season.

Partey joins Al-Shabab, who lost their opening match this term, as a free agent.
