Premier League chief hints at scrapping the long-standing Saturday 3pm TV blackout.

What happened. Premier League chief executive Richard Masters revealed a decision on ending the 3pm blackout could be made before the end of the 2027/28 season, with talks to be held.

• Blackout enforced by FA in the 1960s at EFL's request.
• Current TV rights deal expires end of 2028/29 season.
• Removal would allow all Premier League and EFL matches to be broadcast.
