What happened. Facundo Medina has joined Bayer Leverkusen ahead of the 2026/27 campaign after impressing at the FIFA World Cup 2026 with Argentina.

• Medina made five appearances at the World Cup, including a 50-minute cameo in the final.
• He spent the 2025/26 season at Marseille, making 26 appearances in all competitions.
• The defender began his European career at Lens in 2020, scoring a stunning overhead kick in his third game.
