What happened. Nottingham Forest signed Ivory Coast defender Ousmane Diomande from Sporting for a reported £34m on a four-year contract with an option for a further year.

Diomande made 132 first-team appearances for Sporting.
He has 15 caps for Ivory Coast and played at the 2026 World Cup.
The 22-year-old said he is motivated to join a historic club.
